Pros of Cold Pressed Juicer by Having one in home

Drinking a fresh juice at home is far more better than buying one from a supermarket. The best of drinking fresh juice is that there is no preservatives or added flavour, its one hundred percent pure. There are also great source of instant energy providing us with carbohydrates, vitamins and enzymes. With the help of juicers, you can prepare a fresh juice at home. Since there are usually two types of juicers, Cold pressed Juicer and a centrifugal juicer.

Between these two, juices from cold press juicers are more healthy and have boundless advantages. Cold pressed juices are jammed with vitamins and minerals. In your busy schedule, it is very difficult to maintain a healthy diet as most of the time we need to eat in a restaurant. Cold press juices are best for the busy people, they will help them to maintain a healthy diet, and they will make sure that you get the sufficient amount of fruits and vegetables every day.

The main disadvantage of consuming juice extracted from a centrifugal juicer is that they destroy most of the enzymes and nutrients. As they, extract juice with the help of a fast spinning blades, that shreds the fruit and vegetable and than while spinning it extrates the juice. Since its metal blade is spinning on a high speed, it produces heat that heat breaks down the enzymes and minerals. While on the other hand, cold press juices uses two techniques to extract juice. Number one; they shred the fruit and vegetable with the help of blades, since these blades are not spinning at very high speed, so they do not produces any heat, in this way no nutrient and enzyme is lost. Secondly, they apply hydraulic pressure on them, which causes the shredded pulp of the fruit or vegetable to extract its juice to its limit, resulting dryer residue than centrifugal juicer. That is why cold pressed juices are one hundred percent pure. That is a reason why cold press juicers are better for green vegetables, centrifugal juicers are not able to extract all of the juice from them, resulting wasting a lot of juice. While, cold press juicer uses hydraulic press to extract all the juice from green vegetables. Similarly, centrifugal juicers cannot extract milks from the nutts for example; cashew and almond milks are very rich in taste and are great source of energy. The ability of cold press juice to apply hydraulic pressure over the nuts, make them able to perform this task.

You cannot compare the consistency and richness of a cold pressed juice with the juice from a centrifugal juicer. They will stay fresh in your refrigerators for about two week depending on the acidity of the fruit or vegetable. You can prepare a large batch and store them for a later use; it will save your time and effort. The waste from a cold press juicer can be very useful for composting.

These were the reasons why, a cold press juicer is the best option for preparing a fresh juice at home.

They serve completely different purposes yet have some things in common. A blender is generally better when it comes to processing liquids and hence; is ideal for making shakes, smoothies, and soups. On the contrary, a food processor is best for processing solid food items such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, and meat. You can select a food processor or a blender as per your needs and budget.

Food Processor and Blender: the Similarities

A food processor and a blender both have sharp blades that spin at incredible speeds for processing the food items. Both these appliances can make mayonnaise, nut butter, purees and baby food, salsa, and whip cream.

Food Processor and Blender: the Differences

Blenders are good at making liquid based dishes such as soups, shakes, smoothies, purees, frozen drinks,  sauces, dips, etc. The jars of a blender have been designed in such a manner that they can handle ingredients efficiently to make items having a liquid consistency. On the contrary, food processors are better for processing dry ingredients and cutting vegetables, fruits, nuts, and meat according to the desired shape and thickness. The vast, shallow bowl of the food processor and its wide and flat blade help in perfectly kneading dough and slicing and grating ingredients.

The essential purpose of a blender is blending, mixing, and pureeing while food processors are implied for cutting, slicing, grinding, pureeing, blending, and kneading. Blenders generally have a capacity of 4 to 8 cups whereas food processors have a capacity of more than 9 cups. There are mini food processors as well which have the capacity of almost 3 to 4 cups. Moreover, food processors have numerous, compatible blades and disk that serve different purposes whereas blenders have just one blade.

Blenders are normally longer, narrower, and cylindrical in shape as compared to food processors which are generally have a wider and hollow shape. The yield of a blender may contrast regarding the texture however; it may have practically no shape. On the contrary a food processor can do various different tasks and subsequently; the yield has a much characterized shape and is fairly variable according to the respective function. However, for the most part, as compared to a food processor, a blender would have way preferred consistency.

What Facts you should consider before purchasing a blender

Even the simplest of the kitchens today feels incomplete without a blender. Many people consider it only a tool for making smoothies and milkshakes but if you research a bit further you will find out about the hundreds of applications of these useful devices besides making frozen drinks. The best countertop blenders come with powerful motors which are capable of performing a whole bunch of tough tasks like crushing ice for frozen drinks, making nut butter and more. However, to be able to perform a variety of tasks with your blender, you need to be careful in selecting one. Not every blender will be able to survive through the toughest challenges that you plan on putting them through. Here are some of the things that you will need to consider when selecting a countertop blender for your kitchen:

1.     Motor:

The motor is what powers the blender which makes it probably the most important part of the machine. The quality of the motor will determine the quality and performance of the blender. A stronger motor will mean that the blender is capable of performing tough tasks with ease and speed. You will find blenders with motor ratings starting from as low as 200 watts to over 1500 watts for the most powerful ones. If you plan on using it for tasks like crushing ice of making nut butter, you should look for at least 600 watts.

2.     Speed settings:

Different models of countertop blenders will come with different speed settings. The most advances models will even include up to 15 speed settings to allow more control over the outcome. However, the number of speed settings will add to the price of the model and in reality all these numbers of speed settings is not really necessary. On/off and pulse option are more than sufficient for performing most of the tasks perfectly.

3.     Blender jar:

There are many things which you need to consider regarding the blender jar since it is a very essential part of the blender. Most importantly, you need to consider the capacity of the jar that you require. If you have a large family and prepare multiple servings of smoothies at a time, you should choose a large, family-sized jar. If you don’t make more than one or two servings at a time, a small, personal-sized jar will be sufficient for you. Clear plastic is the most preferred material for the jar although you will also find some glass and stainless steel blenders. The problem with glass jars is that they can break easily and that with stainless steel ones is that you cannot see the contents unless you lift the lid.

4.     Attachments:

Many useful attachments can be available with the blender you choose to buy. Since you are paying for the attachments too that will come with the blender, consider if you will be using most if not all of them. Also check if they can be detached and attached easily.
